Host & Venue

EDDI19 will be hosted by the Finnish Social Science Data Archive, Tampere University, and Statistics Finland.

The Finnish Social Science Data Archive (FSD) provides a single point of access to a wide range of digital research data for learning, teaching and research purposes.

We promote open access to research data as well as transparency, accumulation and efficient reuse of scientific research.

FSD operates as a separate unit of the Tampere University.

Tampere University
is one of the most multidisciplinary universities in Finland. Tampere University was created in January 2019 by the merger of the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology. At the new University, technology and social sciences come together in a unique way.

Our research groups and projects conduct multidisciplinary research across institutional boundaries. The University has over 19.000 degree students.

Statistics Finland
combines collected data with its own expertise to produce statistics and information services.
Founded in 1865, Statistics Finland is the only Finnish public authority specifically established for statistics. It produces the vast majority of Finnish official statistics and is a significant international actor in the field of statistics.

We employ some 800 experts in a variety of fields in Helsinki and as interviewers throughout the country.
